Weekend Memo No. 131
There's nothing like the beginning of fall. Around this time of year, I get all the holiday feels. I know, it might be a little too early for most of you. But I guess you could say, I'm holiday obsessed. And even Halloween turns out to be a big holiday around here. And if you're wondering why, I'm not even sure this needs an explanation, but I'll tell you why. All the pumpkins, spooky decor, pumpkin candy, carving pumpkins with the kiddos, and of course all my traditional baking that goes with it. But I can even go further than Halloween and think about my Thanksgiving menu, start shopping for Christmas gifts, and getting creative in the kitchen with new-to-me holiday recipes. Yes! For example today, I'm testing a new recipe for Thanksgiving, and it all started with our Sunday dinner menu. Because if I'm going to make a big dinner, why not start trying new holiday recipes? And testing recipes for the holidays just gets me inspired and in the spirit of the season. If I can infect someone with the holiday bug, I'm all about it.
