Happy New Year

caviar and chips

Happy New Year! I hope 2021 was good to you and I wish you a blessed 2022. As with every new year, we have adapted the tradition of seafood and Champagne. Caviar and chips is our new favorite. A little creme fraiche and caviar, and you have a new appetizer. I forget where I got the idea last New Year’s, but it’s perfect, splurge-worthy, and looks great on a silver or marble platter.

Raw and Rockefeller oysters have also become a tradition — this one a bit older going on about 6 or 7 years, but it doesn’t get old. We also love to make a Cioppino and serve it with a nice rustic bread. Our favorite recipe for Cioppino is via Bon Appetit.

Enough about food and traditions. On a more personal note, I know I’ve neglected this little blog of mine the last couple of years. And I have two really good reasons — I started a full-time job at the end of 2019, and I can truly blame the pandemic. You would think that the pandemic would have given me more time to blog, but it was hard in many ways, as I’m sure it was for many. I’ve also found my job a bit unfulfilling, but that’s a story for another post.

If you’re asking why the motivation to continue this blog is because as cliche as it sounds, I need to a creative outlet once again at this stage of my life — a place to share what I love — from recipes to travel to outfits. One of my goals for the new year, is to share more with you here.

Let’s do this 2022! Happy New Year my friends! As always, thanks for supporting the brands I collaborate with and for following along.
