Top 3 Skincare Products I Can’t Live Without
These are my top 3 skincare products I can’t live without. They have changed the appearance of my skin by making it look much smoother and brighter. You have probably heard of at least two of these, but have you heard of azelaic acid? I think it’s the best kept secret by many. I’m here to tell you why and share it’s wonderful skin benefits.
Sunscreen - we all know that we should protect our skin from sun damage. This sunscreen is my favorite. It has great skin benefits and doesn’t leave a white tinted residue on my face. It dissolves to the color of my skin.
Azelaic Acid - this is available in over-the counter-strengths and by prescription only. It boasts a number of skin-healing properties to treat a number of skin conditions. Azelaic acid targets acne-causing bacteria and inflammation, exfoliates rough skin, fades pigmentation and evens skin tone. It’s a versatile ingredient and is considered a multitasker among skin care products. It is also an antioxidant. It also prevents future buildup of debris and oil by encouraging cell turnover and reducing the amount of oil on the skin’s surface. I call it a miracle worker! I use it at night.
Vitamin C Serum - This one from Beautycounter is a clean product and does what it says. It leaves the skin with a brighter, more radiant appearance, and can also result in a reduction of the appearance of fine lines, wrinkles, and hyperpigmentation for a more even skin tone. I use it in the morning.
Here are other skincare products in my arsenal.
Augustinus Bader Rich Cream - I use it in the morning. For my night moisturizer, I use this body cream on my face by Cetaphil as recommended by my dermatologist. It’s completely safe to use on your face.
La Roche Posay Micellar Water - This is my morning cleanser.
Laneige Lip Mask - I mostly use it at night, but you can use it in the morning and apply throughout the day.
Hyaluronic Acid Serum - I’ve found the CeraVe just as good as the Dr. Barbara Sturm and it’s a fraction of the price. It helps bind moisture to your skin's surface, smoothing it and providing up to 24 hours of hydration
Beautycounter Overnight Peel - I use it 2 to 3 times a week when on the days I skip my azelaic acid.
Ice Roller for Face and Eyes. I use it in the morning before applying creams.
Facial Brush. I dry brush my face before I jump in the shower to remove dead skin cells.
