Saturday Escapades
So my Saturday Style posts are now being called Saturday Escapades. And here are my escapades for the day - 1|Pure Barre class in the morning after my son's soccer game and 2|flower shopping and run some errands afterwards.
One of my goals this year is to take better care of myself. That means making time for a workout and some alone time without the kiddos. I think it's so important to make time for yourself especially when you are mommy. So these past few weeks, I started something I should have started months ago - my Saturday escapades by myself. Whether it's to get my hair cut, meet a friend for lunch, run errands, get a workout in, stop at the coffee shop to work, or just window shop. It's becoming my favorite day of the week {and my moments with Sunday}. I think it's fair to say I'm enjoying my weekends lately. I think it took me this long to not feel guilty about leaving the hubby behind with the kiddos and enjoy my own time.
So today, I scheduled a Pure Barre class - my first one ever and I'm so excited to try it. Then I may go sit and work at a coffee shop for a little bit, visit Trader Joe's to pick up some weekend essentials {like wine and flowers}, Target for the Oh Joy collaboration, and then I have a hair appointment. The weather ruined my plans of wearing shorts though. It was supposed to be beautiful, but now there's rain in the forecast so jeans it will be.
By the way, that Helmut Lang jacket is a must. I love the versatility of it. And with our temperatures still dipping into the 40's and 50's on some days, it's a no-brainer. I love how it looks zipped or unzipped. It's definitely at the top of my wish list. It would totally play double duty today if I had it now.
